2020 Niagara Cabernet Franc – Director’s Cut

A very special barrel selection wine, with  an expressive and layered bouquet, aromas of ripe red berries, mingling with notes of green pepper, dried herbs, and a touch of violet. Subtle undertones of graphite and cedar provide a hint of earthiness, characteristic of cool climate Cabernet Franc. On the palate, the wine opens with vibrant acidity and great body, leading to flavors of black currant, cranberry, and dark cherry.

These fruit notes are beautifully balanced by herbal elements of sage and a whisper of black tea. The medium-bodied palate is framed by fine-grained tannins, offering a silky texture that evolves gracefully on the mid-palate. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of crushed peppercorn, cocoa, and a hint of minerality that reflects the vineyard's cool climate origins.

Excellent aging, with only 50 cases available.
